Charlotte Oldershaw

Bio

Charlotte Oldershaw is a 21 year old singer, songwriter and performer from Wellington.

Beginning dance lessons at three and taking singing lessons and performing in theatre productions from the age of 8, performing is in Charlotte’s veins.

After completing a degree in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre) in Wellington, Charlotte was offered an overseas scholarship to further her studies in Musical Theatre, but made the decision to turn down the offer and focus on her other love, and move forward with a career as a pop artist.

Following on from her debut releases ‘Julian’ and ‘Strange’, Charlotte has received funding from NZ On Air funding through their New Music Development Program, and out of that has come her most recent single - ‘Drivers Seat’ - which was co-written with artist/producer Sophie Bialistocki.

‘Drivers Seat’ transports you to a late night party…. out with friends for the night to "loosen the reins". Through the chaos, dim light and noise…. she sees him.

The release of ‘Drivers Seat’ confirms for Charlotte Oldershaw she is right where she wants to be. "For years people have told me I can’t just concentrate on music and I need to get a real job. But this is my passion and I love it!".
